Set My Pricing Strategies

Markup Groups are a quick and easy way of pricing your products. Markup groups are flat-percentage margins on a product. For example, if you create a 50% Markup group and add products to it, the prices of those products will be marked up by 50%. The Markup Groups page lets you create, edit, delete and set a markup group as your default.

How to Use:

1. Under the Inventory heading click on the Set Pricing link
   
   

Create a Markup group

1. Under the heading Select Markup Group use the drop menu to select Create Markup Group.
2. A new section titled Create New Markup Group will appear. Enter the following information:
   • Name - this name makes it easier for you to identify the markup group later.
   • Amount - this is the percentage mark-up you want for this mark-up group.
3. Click the Create Markup Group button.

Edit a Markup Group

1. Use the drop menu under the heading Select Markup Group to select the markup group you would like to edit.
2. Under the heading Edit Markup Group, You are able to change the markup group name and amount. Simply change this text by typing over your old markup group details in the fields provided.
3. Once you've made the changes you want, click the Update Markup Group button.

Delete a Markup Group

1. To delete a markup group, use the drop menu under the heading Select Markup Group to select the markup group you would like to delete.
2. Go to the bottom of the page and click the Delete Markup Group button.
3. You will be asked to confirm whether or not you wish to delete your selection. Click Ok.

Note: Do not select Update Markup Group after deleting your markup group. This will recreate it.

Set a Markup group as the default

The default markup group is the one that will appear top-most in the drop menu. If you have many markup groups, this makes it very easy to access and apply when pricing your products.

1. Use the top-most drop menu to select the store for which you would like to set the default margin group.
2. Use the drop menu under the heading Select Markup Group to select the markup group you would like to be the default for the selected store.
3. Click the Set as Default button.
