Store Pages

Pages are a single element of your store. You are able link multiple pages together through the use of menus. This is how you build your store framework.

How to use:

  1. Under the Design heading click on the Pages link

Adding Pages

  1. To create a page, begin by clicking on the Add A Page button. If you wish to build-out your home/index page first click on the Edit Homepage button instead. Note: Do not delete the home/index page we've created for you. It's needed in order for your store to display properly.
  2. You will be driven to the Edit Page screen, where you can begin designing a page for your storefront. Enter a descriptive page name in the Title field.
  3. Add a corresponding URL Name. Your URL Name will usually be the same as your Title, however in certain instances, for example if the title is exceptionally long, you may choose to modify the url or use an acronym instead. Note: If you are designing your home/index keep the URL Name titled index.
  4. Ensure that the Show in storefront ratio button is selected. If you wish to build-out a page and have it not display in your storefront simply click the hide from storefront radio button. This allows you to maintain your menu structure without displaying the page itself. It’s a great feature for limited time promotions or rotating sale pages.
  5. Add your content using the built-in What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG - pronounced "wiz-ee-wig") HTML editor. This lets you create an HTML-based custom page without having to use an external, third-party HTML editor.
  6. Optional: Click into the Template Settings tab.
    1. Check-off the Customize this setting box
    2. Add page specific Key words & Description Meta Tags for SEO purposes
  7. Click the Create Page button. You will be redirected back to the main Manage Pages section and your newly created page will be visible under the My Pages heading.

Editing Pages

  1. To edit an existing page simply click the link displayed in the page Title, under the My Pages heading.
  2. You will be redirected to the editing screen where you can make your changes. After every edit ensure that you click on the Save Page button to save any modifications.

Tips & Tricks

  • You do not need to add the "www" or ".com" to your URL Name. We will insert that for you.
  • While this system can support upper case letters and spaces in your URLs it’s a good practice to use only lower case letters and hyphens (or dashes) in their place.
  • Be sure to replace the “&” symbol with either a hyphen or the word “and” or your page will display an error and not be visible to users. Ex. Title: Cava & Cupcakes URL Name: cava-and-cupcakes.
