General Settings
These are your business details settings. This page is where you can edit your store’s name and domain name.
Your store domain, helps identify your user name, or in this case, your store name to our host server. It is unique within our system and helps us track your store’s activities so we can create the necessary customer reports on your behalf.
How to Use:
- Click on the Settings heading click to be redirected to the General Settings page.
- Simply highlight the existing text in the Name text field and enter in your new store name. Be sure to enter it exactly as you want it to appear on your store.
- Your Store Domain Name is the x in http://x.secure2cart.com. It is your store's unique identifier. To change it, highlight the existing contents of the text field to the right of Store Domain Name, and enter your desired domain name (it will usually correspond with your store's name).
- Once you've made one or both of these changes (one is not necessarily required for the other), scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save Settings button.
Note: If there are any problems with the update, an error message will appear above the Name field in red. The most likely scenario is that you have changed your store domain name to one that has already been chosen by another merchant. While store names have the potential to overlap, store domain names do not. Pick a different Store Domain Name and try saving your settings again.
