FAQ's - Shipping

  1. Am I restricted in where I can ship products to?
    • Yes. Your shipping destinations are supplier dependent. In other words the suppliers you connect to in the network will determine what locations you are able to ship your products to.

  2. How do I specify which countries and/or regions I will ship to?
    • You may specify which countries you will ship to by selecting Settings and then Shipping from the main menu.

  3. What is banded shipping?
    • Banded shipping allows a merchant to set the rules used to calculate the cost of shipping. This system comprises a list of bands, each representing a price, weight or item range for a particular shipping method and destination region, for which a cost can be specified. The number of bands is virtually unlimited, with as many regions and shipping methods as required.

  4. How does banded shipping work?
    • Banded shipping allows a merchant to set shipping rules in ranges (or bands) according to one of three characteristics of an order: the value, the weight or the number of items (product count). A merchant could, for example, set the following shipping rules: for orders between $0 and $50 the cost of shipping is $12, for orders greater than $50 shipping is $0. There is no limit to the number of bands that a merchant can set.

  5. How can I offer my customers FREE shipping?
    • Free shipping can be offered by setting one of the shipping bands to $0. For example: for orders between $0 and $50 the cost of shipping is $12, for orders greater than $50 shipping is $0.

  6. How do I test my new shipping rules?
    • Enter your shipping rules by selecting Settings and then Shipping from the main menu. Test your shipping rules by adding products to the shopping cart on your store and viewing the shipping cost presented.
