Tips and Tricks

  • Regardless of whether you are a supplier seller or both, you will want to include as many pertinent details about your operation as possible. When writing your profile put yourself in another merchant’s shoes and think about all information you would want to know before agreeing to connect with another business. Consider what would attract you to request a connection from another Merchant and your personal deal breakers (i.e. those things that would make you avoid a connection).

  • Here are a few ideas to consider:
    • Provide a business overview
    • Your company vision
    • Any salient selling points (why you’re a quality supplier or why you’re an excellent seller).
    • What you are looking for in a seller/supplier – outline your expectations and requirements
    • Mention your processes
    • How long you’ve been in business
    • How quickly it takes you typically fill orders
    • Guarantee policies – do you have restocking fees?
    • Do you require a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) to process a return or refund?
    • Your fulfillment rate (suppliers)
    • Out of stock processes (suppliers)
    • Your cancellation policies, expectations, requirements
    • Remember to include all unique parts of your business that will entice people to want to connect with you.
