Build Cross-Sell Relationships

A cross-sell enables you to specify a set of products that will be displayed to your customers as they browse select products in your store. A cross-sell is best used when the products are complementary. If a customer is browsing video game consoles, for example, displaying video games or other accessories as well could result in a larger purchase. One sales strategy is to pair low mark-up products with higher mark-up products (in this case, video game consoles with video games). As such, you could make a higher profit by up-selling your customer on products that complement their purchase. Note: Cross-Sells are determined and displayed on a per category basis.

How To Use:

  1. Under the Marketing heading click on the Cross-Sells link
  2. Use the drop menu under the heading Select Category to specify a category you would like to create a cross-sell for.
  3. Click the Add Products button.
  4. In the window that opens enter keywords and/or use the category drop menu to begin looking for the products you would like to appear on your page.
  5. Click the Search button.
  6. Select the product you would like to add by clicking either the product name (to add single products) or check boxes (to add multiple products).
  7. Click the Add Products button.
  8. Repeat these steps to add more products.
